The Planning Inspectorate
Following the abolition of the Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC) in April 2012, its functions were transferred to the Planning Inspectorate who is now responsible for examining and making recommendations on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. Further information on proposed major infrastructure projects in England and Wales can be found on the National Infrastructure Planning website
